We want this website to be usable by everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation or magnification.

1. Our commitment

Burz Facility Services is committed to making https://burz.jaivis.co.ke accessible to as many people as possible, in the spirit of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.

2. What we have done

  • Semantic HTML landmarks so screen readers can navigate by region and heading
  • A visible "skip to main content" link as the first focusable element on every page
  • Descriptive alternative text on every meaningful image; decorative elements are hidden from assistive technology
  • All interactive elements reachable and operable by keyboard alone, with a clearly visible focus indicator
  • Colour contrast of at least 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and interface components
  • Form fields with permanently associated labels, not placeholder-only labelling
  • Accordions and the cookie dialog expose their state through ARIA attributes
  • Animation is suppressed automatically for visitors whose system requests reduced motion
  • Layout reflows to a single column without horizontal scrolling down to 320px width, and supports 200% text zoom

3. Known limitations

  • The embedded map on our contact page is provided by a third party and may not be fully keyboard navigable. The same information — our full street address — is written in text immediately beside it.
  • Some photographs of work sites carry brief captions rather than long descriptions. Contact us if you need a fuller description of any image.

4. Assessment approach

This site was reviewed by self-evaluation using keyboard-only navigation, browser zoom to 200%, automated contrast checking and a screen-reader pass. We re-check whenever we publish a substantive change to the site.
